Seller’s Guide

Seller’s Guide

Selling your home is a complex, multi-step process that calls for the expertise of a REALTOR. There are many things you’ll need to consider, and to help you through it, here’s a general overview on what to expect and prepare.

Get Your Finances In Order

Don’t worry if you’re still paying off your mortgage, there are several options depending on what time of mortgage you have. However, you’ll need to talk to your lender before you proceed asking about any payout penalties, mortgage portability and what purchase price you qualify for. As part of our team, we work with professional mortgage reps who can help you find the information you require.

Meet With A REALTOR®

It’s important to partner with a realtor you feel completely comfortable with. Don’t fall for the trap of partnering with a REALTOR who suggests the highest asking price. A good Realtor can help you price your home to sell within the current market conditions. We will give you guidance on Pricing, Staging, Strategy, Exposure as well as how successful buyer showings happen. Ask us about our WIN-WIN Fee Structure.

Listing Your Home

The next step is to sign a Listing Agreement, which gives your Realtor permission to post your property on the MLS. We will begin marketing your home through a variety of mediums including signage, photography, social media, websites and by promoting your property to other Realtors. We are in a Brokerage Office that has well over 200 hundred Realtors and we keep a very good working relationship with all Realtors we encounter.

Offers

After the hard work of marketing and promoting your home pays off, you’ll hopefully have one or more offers on the table. Your Realtor will be guiding you, negotiating for you and correctly handling the administrative contact details. Once you’ve accepted an offer, the buyer will want to conduct a home inspection. Finally, your lawyer and Realtor will walk you through the paperwork and legal bits needed to close.

Congratulations!
